Off-Season Training

So you’ve taken your vacation, you’ve rested your body, you’ve stayed out late with your friends, and now it’s time to put your mind and body towards your passion, your first love, your biggest motivation: Next Season. Don’t be the athlete that sits on the couch all off-season expecting that a few sprints on the track a week before the season begins will get you back into tip-top shape. We all know now that proper rest after a long season is beneficial towards avoiding overuse injuries, but getting back into “playing” shape before two-a-days is the best way to reach your goals and beat out your teammates that are battling for your spot on the first team.

Off-Season training at CATZ Austin is a program offered to Collegiate and Professional athletes of all sports, with workouts focused on strength, speed, power, and flexibility that are specific to your game. Work through a properly planned periodization cycle of workouts to assist you in peaking out your athleticism at the exact moment necessary: the first snap on the gridiron, jump ball at center court, or opening day at the ballpark.

Every year that passes, 2 things are bound to happen: 1) You lose a small spring in your step, velocity on your throw, or power in your swing, and 2) there’s another rookie coming in trying to take your spot.
