Blake Gould
CSCS, Under Armour Combine360 Trainer-Level 3, USAW, IYCA Speed and Agility Specialist Level 1 – Performance Director/Coach
Blake is a 2006 graduate of Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA. Blake played football for the Chargers and was a three year letter winner at the receiver/tight end position. He received a degree in Sports/Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology, and was also awarded as the “2006 Outstanding Sports Science Major” for his graduating class. Blake is currently CSCS and USAW certified as well as an IYCA Certified Yout Speed and Agility Specialist Level 1. After college Blake moved to Lincoln, NE and was a PT Tech for a year and a half where he worked with people of all different ages and injuries. During his time in Lincoln ,Blake also volunteered as a youth football coach for 6th grade boys. In January 2008, he moved down to Austin from Lincoln to pursue his passion of stregnth and conditioning/sports performance. Since joining the CATZ team in February of 2008, Blake has had the privilege to work with athletes ranging from 3 years old to professional and adults. Some of the athletes he has trained during his time with CATZ, have been: Olympic Trial/Division 1 swimmers; Division 1 and 2 level college football, basketball, tennis, and soccer players; and former NFL Linebacker, Brad Kassell.
Personal: Blake is engaged to a wonderful woman, Rebecca Torbert and plans to get married in the summer of 2012. He enjoys spending time at his new house with his fiancee and two little puppies, Jessa and Baylor.

1- College Education, High School, Certifications –
2006 Graduate of Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA. Was awarded the “2006 Outstanding Sports Science Major” for my graduating class. Multiple times on the Dean’s list (3.5 or greater). CSCS, UA Combine360 Trainer Level-3, IYCA SAS1 and USAW certified.
2- Sports involved in when younger –
In high school I played basketball, football, and ran track. Played receiver/tight end at Briar Cliff for 4 years where I was a 3 year starter/letter winner.

High School All- Sunland honorable mention- football, Academic All Conference–football College- 3 year letter winner for Briar Cliff University.
4- Hobbies –
Spending quality time with my fiancee, Becca; Yard work at our house; Playing with my puppies; Working out; relaxing; golfing; riding my motorcycle; water sports; traveling; playing guitar; snow skiing in Montana; shooting guns/hunting; visting my homestate of Nebraska, spending time with friends and family.
5- Music that’s on your Ipod, ITouch, IWhatever, etc. –
The most played thing on my ITouch right now is Eminem’s “Relapse”, “Relapse: Refill”, and “Recovery”
6- Favorite Place to eat in Austin –
Kim Phung, Brooklyn Heights Pizza, Jardin Coroan, Jardin Del Rey, and the Oasis.
7- Favorite exercise at CATZ –
Any compound set, sandbell exercises, and creating exercises or series. Density/Cardio Strength training, CHAOS Speed training, and any combination of “Fun Friday” exercises.
8- Favorite Sports Team –

9- Phrase you overuse during a session –
It used to be “K”, now I would say that is probably “come on, get after it”
10- Goal for 2010 –
Continue to help each and every client that walks through our doors, continue to learn from myself and others, and help CATZ reach all of it’s 2010 goals.

Vanilla Protein Shake, Pro5 or Myoplex
12- Favorite Sports Moment of your life –
My favorite sports moment would probably be opening up the 2003 football season starting as a sophomore and getting our first win of the season.
