William Meyer
SCE, USAW, NSCA-PT – Performance Director 
Bill is the Performance Director at CATZ Austin and works with athletes ranging from elementary school to professional athletes of all sports. His main role at CATZ Austin is to continue to build a successful team of coaches that implement the most functional, intelligent, and creative training programs for all levels of athletes. Through building positive relationships with the athletes and families at CATZ Austin, Bill is providing the community of Austin a professionally-run, family friendly training facility that is built for training all levels of athletes. For the past 3 years, you can often find Bill talking training on 1300am “The Zone” as the radio station’s “Fitness and Training Expert”.
Bill has extensive experience working with athletes at the professional and collegiate level. He has coached athletes from Major League Baseball,The National Football League, Arena Football, Scottish Premier League Soccer, and Dallas Harlequins Rugby, as well as hundreds of NCAA athletes of all sports.
Bill was recently invited to be on the Board of Directors of the Tudor Bompa Institute of Ontario, Canada after receiving the Strength and Conditioning Expert certification under the tutelage of the highly recognized strength coach, Tudor Bompa. He is a NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer, and USA Weightlifting Level I Coach who is NIKE SPARQ Certified. Bill is also a licensed Nutrition Specialist through Lifestyle Management Association.

I played soccer growing up and was my high school’s captain my senior year. I also got involved in beach volleyball, golf, and rock climbing.

Captain of High School Soccer Team, North Dallas ODP Team 1996-1997.
4- Hobbies –
DJing in my apartment living room, watching movies, and cooking. Cooking somehow ends with cleaning too, but I don’t like that part nearly as much as making the mess.
5- Music that’s on your Ipod, ITouch, IWhatever, etc. –
People know me for my electronic music. I like the Essential Mix on Radio 1, and I also like the CLR Podcast and Ibiza Voice Podcast. Great techno!!! During the downtime moments, Sigur Ros and Bob Marley do the trick.

10- Goal for 2010 –
Have my athletes and coaches have a successful year in their sports, activities, and training sessions. To continue to help bring health and happiness to the youth of the city of Austin through encouraging, creative, and fun exercise.
11- Favorite Post-Workout Meal –
Oatmeal with Chocolate protein powder mixed in it. It’s a love/hate relationship, I love how healthy it is, but I’d be lying if I said after having it almost every day that it still tastes great. On my off days, I like all types of breakfast tacos.
12- Favorite Sports Moment of your life –
Watching my fiancee’ coach field hockey is number one, but I also have loved traveling to different countries and watching soccer in all different cultures.
